Total Cost of Ownership

Working on my graduation project, in which I would have to write a proposal on Chatbots in a business environment as well as develop a Proof of Concept.

Part of the proposal is a business case / total cost of ownership, the data on these subjects regarding Chatbots is very limited at the moment. I was able to find some costs of development and subscriptions for example Microsoft Azure Bots.

Do you think that it would be appropriate to use ‘ordinary’ App business cases / TCO’s to complete the missing data on my chatbot proposal? I think the data of Apps and Chatbots will be rather similar, am I wrong?

I have indeed found that article. It is helpful, but unfortunately for my project as well as my thesis I cannot rely on the one or two articles I can find on Chatbots. I am wondering if it is possible to use certain calculation based on Mobile Apps as well, because Chatbots are very similar. For example, I have found the following, but I am not sure if I can use it in this context:
