I need speakers for a podcast series on chatbots, any one?

Hey - @namratanagar ! Yes! would love to contribute. While we’ve built systems for healthcare and education, it might be the most fun for us to help with the Art & Culture as we’re a group of artists, poets, and, well, such finely cultured snobs that we often paint our nails in public!

To be serious, I’d suggest we chew the fat a bit about the UX of bots and how they need to be culturally attuned to the user, the difficulties of localization for large builds, and how, just like a person, they’re children of the culture they’re from. Interactive biographies, interactive portraits, and gender in robotics are all things we’d have a good time talking over. Please let me know. Fingers crossed.

We can be in good position to become a speaker for this podcast specially for Episode 2 and 3. We are currently building bots for a large ecommerce company in UK and talking to some Banks too and have also built a bot on Indian Prime Minister Narendara Modi .

Please suggest if you would like to schedule a call with either our CIO or head of products whom I propose as speakers.

Here are links to some though leadership articles we have writeen about bots:

Would love to be involved. Work with a company that specializes in deep learning AI bots powered by human assisted artificial intelligence (training). Can share some anecdotes with customers like Tommy Hilfiger and others.

Happy to participate to the ARt/culture podcast. I have been working on a art advisory chatbot for ArtList. https://www.linkedin.com/in/kennethschlenker?trk=nav_responsive_tab_profile_pic

Hi Namrata! We develop a virtual health assistant for women with a conversational UI. Our MVP is a chatbot. I can tell you more about it if you want.

Hi. I’m a lecturer at the university of Oslo, Norway, and could contribute to the episode on education if you think it’s relevant. My team is currently testing bots on 3000 students in higher education and I will be speaking about this topic at SXSW Edu in Austin in March.

Another person I would recommend is Ashok Goel who has built and used a chatbot as an online tutor in his AI course, without students knowing the bot was a bot. http://www.news.gatech.edu/2016/05/09/artificial-intelligence-course-creates-ai-teaching-assistant

I would love to be in the podcast on chatbots in Healthcare. My day job is an architect on Cerner’s Patient Portal, so I am deeply involved in patient engagement work. Chatbots are not a part of that yet, but my side project is a chatbot for mental health support.

There are several potential uses for chatbots as part of personal engagement with healthcare which are distinctly different. Examples:

  1. a bot to manage a specific disease, such as diabetes, possibly tied to automatic device data from a home device
  2. A chatbot within a Patient Portal that can help the user find specific information, in this case a somewhat smarter help system than a bit FAQ page
  3. Carrying out a care plan, coordinated within your healthcare system. For example: treating heart disease is a complex workflow involving doctors, insurance, a large care team, regular visits, and patient actions.

The EMR drives everything non-patient… but the mechanism for helping the patient through their tasks is practically nonexistent. In this case the bot would be in charge of getting regular updates from the patient on health, but also nudging them to make an appointment that is coming due, or reminding them (and carrying out) a medication renewal.

The whole area is fascinating. I’d love to be part of a one-time or continuing discussion on it.

Hi! I haven’t worked on bots in my professional life yet, only as a hobby, so I’m not really qualified to be a speaker on your series.

But I wanted to point you to an article I wrote about chatbots in education and learning, which was published on the Chatbots Magazine. I’m no expert on the subject, but maybe it will give you some some discussion ideas for the education episode: https://chatbotsmagazine.com/why-everyone-needs-a-personalized-assistant-bot-self-teching-part-1-9dae1fdc8f97#.dogdvmmqj

Thanks Taija. The education episode is incomplete without talking about how an individual learns and different ways of learning getting enhanced using a personalized bot.

How about Naming Your Bot? My company NameGirl specializes in global naming and I"ve named 2 bots, one for financial and one for healthcare, both in alpha/beta mode. I love bots! And can give some basic guidelines and examples. My healthcare bot is not ready to preview but will absolutely be a guide to the patient throught a very maze-like healthcare system during a difficult time. The money one is a new form of digital money management.
